Soprano Seri Baek

Soprano Seri Baek began her musical journey at Sunhwa Arts School and Seoul Arts High School. She later attended Ewha Womans University before moving to Austria, where she graduated with honors from Salzburg Mozarteum University.

She also completed her master’s degree there, achieving the highest score, and finished the university’s advanced performer course.

During her time in Europe, she made her debut with German trumpeter Ludwig Güttler and the Bach Collegium Leipzig. She went on to perform in various theaters across Germany, France, and Austria, including the Prinzregententheater in Munich, the Vienna Concert Hall, the Salzburg Festival Theater, and the Sibiu Opera Festival in Romania.

Ms. Baek’s repertoire is extensive, covering a wide range of music from the Baroque period to contemporary works. She has performed as a soloist in numerous countries, showcasing her versatility in ensemble pieces and art songs. Notably, she was invited to perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony as a soloist at the Ricardo Castro Music Festival in Mexico, where she received high praise. This success led to further engagements in Central and South America, where she collaborated with David Harutyunyan, the principal conductor of the Guayaquil Municipal Orchestra.

After returning to Korea, Ms. Baek held a homecoming recital at the Inchun Art Hall of the Seoul Arts Center in 2023. She continues to perform actively, specializing in contemporary music, and frequently travels between South America and Asia, with a focus on Korea.

In addition to her performances, Ms. Baek has shared her expertise through lectures and master classes. She gave a special lecture on ‘Mozart and Salzburg’ at Kyung Hee University’s Global Campus and has been invited to speak on various topics, including vocal technique and church music, in

several Central and South American cities. She has also participated in TEDx events, delivering her second TEDx talk on ‘The Story of an Unknown Soprano’s Survival’ in Korea.

Ms. Baek has held professorships in the Department of Vocal Music at Juarez State University of Durango in Mexico, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in Guayaquil, and the Department of Humanities and the Graduate School of Arts at Espiritu Santo University. She is currently a member of the Korean Schubert Association, an artist with the contemporary music vocal ensemble ‘Knalysys,’ and affiliated with On & Offline Music and La Muse. Additionally, she teaches at Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Mokpo National University.

Pianist Eun A Kim

•Graduated with top honors in performance from Seoul Arts High School and Seoul National University’s College of Music(Bachelor’s degree).

•Completed a Master’s degree and the Konzertexamen (highest performance degree) with top marks at the University of Music and Theater Hamburg.

•Winner of the Delia Steinberg International Piano Competition in Spain, the Beethoven Competition in Korea, and the Seoul National University Concerto Competition.

•Performed as a soloist with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, the Korean Chamber Orchestra (KCO), the Seoul National University Orchestra, Germany’s Hochschulorchester(HSO), and the UK’s Thames Philharmonia.

•Featured in notable performances such as the Chosun Ilbo New Artist Concert, the Music Chunchu Outstanding New Artist Debut Concert, and the Young Artist Music Festival.

•Played at major venues both domestically and internationally, including Laeiszhalle, Steinway Haus, Spiegelsaal in Germany, and the Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and Kumho Art Hall Yonsei in Korea.

•Currently teaching at Sejong University and its graduate school, Chugye University for the Arts, Chungnam National University, Kyewon Middle & High School of the Arts, and Chungbuk Arts High School. Also a member of the Arc Piano Quartet and an official accompanist for the vocal ensemble Heilen.
